Happy 4th of July!
The Webster Lake Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, July 5th at 2:30 at Griffin Beach. Rain date July 6th
The parade will be led this year by Brian Campbell, longtime resident and Board member.
The direction will be counter-clockwise as this is an odd-numbered year.
Fireworks are always a concern to those who care for the lake–please do NOT shoot fireworks where they can drop into the lake and pollute the water.
Note, too, that Franklin has a noise ordinance that says fireworks should be discharged before 9:30 pm.
Several water safety reminders
- Operators of motor vessels are now required to have the ignition cut off switch connected to their body.
- Personal Flotation Devices are required for all passengers on board a vessel. Children 12 and under must be wearing them at all times.
- Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and jet skis are considered water vessels; all are required to have a PFD available for each person.
- Motor vessels MUST give way to non-motorized craft.
- The NH Marine Patrol is a division of the State Patrol. Operating while intoxicated will result in suspension of both water and land licenses.
- To operate a motor vessel of over 25hp, you must have a Safety Certificate or be supervised by someone who does.
Let’s stay safe on and in the water!
