Lake Hosts Needed!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a nice weekend, great lake days on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, we did not have any Lake Hosts at the boat ramp this weekend): Linda Stronge, our Lake Host Coordinator has asked me to send this important message.

For years Webster Lake Association has received a grant from New Hampshire Lakes Association to hire a Lake Host to inspect boats coming in and out of Webster Lake on the weekends. WLA partnered with Franklin Parks and Recreation in the hiring and training of teen lake hosts. We are still looking for lake hosts for this summer. The pay is $18 per hour for Saturday and Sunday 8-4 with an hour off for lunch. This is such an important job to help keep our lake invasive free. It’s not just for teens, many lake hosts are older adults who are passionate about preserving the health of NH lakes. Please contact Krystal at the Rec Dept if you are interested in even one day per weekend. In the event we are unable to hire someone, we are looking for volunteers to cover some shifts. Please email me at lhstronge@comcast.net if you can help!

Linda has been working hard with Krystal Alpers to try and recruit Lake Hosts. I hope you may be interested or know of someone who would like to help keep our lake free of invasive species.

Thank you,
Val & Linda
