Hi Everyone,
There was a great turnout at the WLA 50th Annual Meeting this morning. Thank you all for coming. Sargent Seth Alie gave a wonderful presentation on Moorings and Boater Safety. Four of the former WLA presidents were invited and attended the meeting. Charles Pellegini, the very first president of the WLA, Gordon Bult, Dick Chandler and Mark Lorenze all spoke.
New board members and officers were elected. The new president of the WLA is Bruce Browne, Vice President remains Bonnie Moore, John Miller remains as Treasurer, and newly elected board member Shawna Pinnette will be Secretary. The other three new board members are Daniel Cotter, Eric Morton and David Moniz. Thank you to all of them for volunteering to carry on the mission of the WLA.
Option #2 was voted the most popular logo. The logo was submitted by Mark Field will be the standard logo. This will be the standard logo for the association and a new link on the website will take you to a store where items may be purchased with the new logo. Watch for more info on that project. Thanks to everyone who submitted logos for consideration.
Finally, I was overwhelmed by the kind words, granite stone gift and standing ovation at the meeting this morning. Thank you very much. The WLA will be in good hands with the next president and board. Jeff and I aren’t going anywhere and will continue to volunteer when needed. See you around the lake and enjoy the rest of the summer!
