Ring of Fire

The ”Ring of Fire” tradition of lighting flares on Webster Lake dates back to the 1970s and is to symbolize unity, community, and gratitude. Every summer around Independence Day, incendiary highway flares have created the beautiful solid glowing lights we know and love.

This year, the incendiary lights used in the past are being replaced by environmentally friendly LED lights. Its an easy way to continue our tradition with beautiful glowing red lights while reducing the harmful impact on the lake.
