Hi Everyone,
What a flip the weather has done!! Last week temps were near 70 and this week snow squalls were happening! We can’t complain too much as it is November. We are thankful for the beautiful extended Fall weather. The leaves have fallen, cottages are closed up and a few year rounders are here. It is a quiet time of year but we are thankful for the lake and its beauty.
The WLA Photo Calendar would make a great holiday gift if you are stumped for an idea. The images are beautiful and taken by talented lake residents. Go to http://www.createphotocalendars.com to take a peek and purchase one. Click on the Marketplace button and type WLA in the window. Your choices should appear. Remember this is a small fundraiser for the WLA. Thank you for your purchase. As the holiday gift giving season begins, remember if you shop through Amazon Smile, the WLA will receive a portion of sales if you have noted us as the beneficial charity. Thank you once again for participating in this program.
I mentioned above that it is a quiet time of year here, however there are some building projects happening around the lake. If you are planning an upcoming project, please consider how your project will impact the lake. The WLA tries to educate everyone how to live lake friendly. The Shoreline Protection Act was enacted to help preserve and protect NH lakes. Familiarize yourself with these guidelines as you plan a project at the lake.
Last week was Veterans’ Day and I would like to extend a belated thank you to all those WLA veterans for your service.
Enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family.
Sincerely,
Val
