It was great to see the “Ring of Fire” tradition brought back to the lake. Great job everyone having the electronic flares lit on the night of the 4th. There were some lit on Saturday night as well. We will also light them on Saturday, August 3rd after the annual meeting to commemorate 50 years of the WLA. They will also be lit on Saturday night, August 17th after the BBQ celebration!
Kudos to everyone who participated in the boat parade. The weather cooperated and there were some very creative boats on the water. This is a fun tradition and this year’s entrants did not disappoint. Kudos also to the very enthusiastic fans along the shoreline. Just a great day on the lake. Carry the enthusiasm over to the WLA Yard Sale next Saturday. Bring your treasures on Friday afternoon to the corner of Webster Ave and Webster Lake Rd. Then on Saturday come see if you can find a new treasure to bring home:):) This is the WLA’s biggest fundraiser of the year and is always very well supported by the community. Again let me know if you are willing to help out in any way.
