What a fun parade on Sunday! Thank you to everyone who participated. Once again great imaginations came to life. The water car was a really cool entry! The rain stopped and the sun peaked out just in time for our event. I hope you all had a great weekend with family and friends even though the weather may not have been that perfect lake weekend. We’ve all heard or said “a rainy day at the lake is better than not being at the lake at all”. The evening weather didn’t bode well for Lighting the Shoreline, but I did see some luminaries and reusable flares. I hope we can build on this tradition next year.
Our next event, the Webster Lake Yard sale will be Saturday, July 17th from 9:00am -3:00pm. This is our fundraiser for the year. Thank you to those of you who have contacted me about helping set up on Friday or working on Saturday. If there are any more volunteers willing to work a 2 hour shift during the sale or help with clean up afterwards, please let me know. Any donations can be dropped off on Friday, the 16th, from 3:00-6:00pm at 181 Webster Lake Rd. (corner of Webster Lake Rd and Webster Ave).
I was contacted over the weekend about a lost water ski. It is a Connelly white ski with red and blue trimming. If anyone picked this ski up in the lake and would like to get it back to its owner, please let me know. See photo at right. The owner is very anxious to have it returned.
More rain is on the way, but we know there are still perfect summer days ahead.
Enjoy,
Val
