Hello Everyone,
I am happy to say the WLA Photo Calendar is now for sale!! We had some wonderful photos that truly captured the beauty of Webster Lake in all four seasons. Thank you to everyone who submitted photos. There were some tough decisions to make on the selections. Congratulations to those of you whose photos will appear on the 2023 edition! To view and purchase the calendar, go to http://www.createphotocalendars.com , click the Marketplace button and in the search window type WLA. The choices of calendars should appear. Remember, these calendars are not only great keepsakes for those of us who love the lake, but they also make great holiday gifts to share our beauty. I received a thank you note from the Twin Rivers Food Pantry, saying the WLA donated 349 pounds of food. They were very appreciative for this donation. I did hear from the Director of the food pantry afterwards who let me know that there were some food items that were out of date. She wanted me to remind everyone that the pantry is very appreciative of donations, however they are not allowed to put outdated items on their shelves. Please keep that in mind when we do our food drive next year. It’s great to clean out our cabinets, but remember to check the dates on items.
Docks and boats are being taken out, signs that the next season will be upon us! The official draw down dates for lakes were released the other day and Webster Lake is slated to start the draw down October 10th. The lake will be taken down 2 feet. Please plan accordingly.
There should be some nice Fall days to enjoy here at the lake and let’s hope the drought of the summer won’t dim the foliage too much.
