Hope you all survived the “monsoon” rain today! Thank goodness the yard sale was yesterday. We missed the rain and ended up with a very successful event.
I want to give Al & Sheila Rainford a very special thank you for letting the WLA use their lawn for the yard sale. It is such a convenient location and that leads to part of the success. Of course we need donations of items to sell and boy did we ever have a collection of interesting items. Thank you to everyone who brought donations.
The volunteers who offered to set up, sell and clean up are a huge part of that success. A big thank you to Mark Lorenze, John Miller, Deb Jackson, Steve Walsh, Dave and Lori Chandonnais, Paul Duncanson, Deb Steadman, Peggy Cain, Dale and Stacy Moyer, Rider Griswold, Dennis Duquette, Karen Kosovsky, Laurie Salame, Jeff Perkins, Bill and Linda Stronge, Denise Steadman, Yvonne Hobbs and the Lake Shore Drive Crew. Whether you helped set up, were there for the sale, picked up items from peoples homes or brought the Rainford’s yard back to normal, you played a part in bringing it together. We netted a little over $2800. A few items have been placed on Facebook Marketplace. If those sell we may hit the $3000 mark!
It takes many hands to make these WLA events successful and I appreciate the effort by everyone on Friday and Saturday.
Thanks again and lets hope we get some nice summer weather soon,
