Yard Sale – 2023

Hi Everyone,

We enjoyed another successful boat parade this year with about 15 boats participating in the event. The weather wasn’t the greatest for the weekend, but the skies cleared in time for the parade and made for a very nice afternoon. Thank you to everyone who participated and those of you on shore who cheered as everyone passed by. Lots of patriotic fans out there and the boats were all nicely decorated.

The next WLA event will be our annual fundraiser, the Yard Sale. Gather up any donations you may have and bring them to 181 Webster Lake Rd on Friday, the 14th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Please do not bring any electronics or clothing. If we accept electronics and they don’t sell, we have to pay to dispose them at the transfer station. Clothes can be donated to the local thrift shops or clothes bin at the Baptist Church by the Police Station. Those of you who have volunteered to help with set up and day of the sale, watch for a separate email with more info. Thank you to those who have said they would help. Help is still needed for the afternoon shift and clean up. Let me know if you are interested.

On a lost and found note, if anyone has found a black paddle board paddle that may have floated to shore or is resting on the bottom of the lake at the Webster Ave end of the lake, please let me know.

Our water testing team will be out on the lake Monday morning doing our monthly sampling for the VLAP program. Thanks to Paul Duncanson, Neil Twomey, Brian Campbell, Jim Berry and his daughter for taking some time to gather good information about the health of our lake.

These past few days have been pretty hot and steamy, great days to be at the lake.

Enjoy and be safe,
Val
